Is Acer Predator P03-620 limited to 1tb SSD?

I have a P03-620 with a 3060ti graphics card, 512gb SSD, and 1tb hard drive. I upgraded the ssd to 1tb because I read that the max was 1tb; I looked further and seen that maybe it could go higher, but saw no definitive answer. Is it possible for me to upgrade the ssd to a higher storage than just 1tb or is that the most it can take? Thank you in advance.

Yes. Windows is what decides the max. size, not Acer. Whether it's a SATA HDD, SATA SSD or M.2 SSD make no difference.

More about the limitations here. https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/654868/acer-predator-orion-3000-po3-620-10-tb-hdd-upgrade-even-possible

EDIT: If you need a lot of more storage space, I'd look for a 2.5" SATA SSD as they tend to be cheaper than M.2 drives of similar sizes. SATA SSD is plenty fast for games and other stuff. Keep Windows and software on your current M.2 drive and games etc. on SATA SSD. Youtube has many comparison videos about the differences in speed between different drives. M.2 is usually only few seconds faster than SATA SSD, but costs a lot more.

Basically sky and your wallet is the limit.

When a new storage drive is being installed/initialized, Windows will ask you few questions. Please pay attention to partition styles GPT (better, more modern, supports larger partitions/drives) and MBR.

So my model of PC can take more storage than what acer recommends?

Thank you for the answers! I’ll definitely look more into a SATA SSD!

Where did you fit the SATA SSD?

@PillPauper I set it up where the HDD was located previously, near the front fan. I also removed all the HDD mounts and then just used some double sided tape to stick it to the bottom part of the case and make sure it doesn't move around when I tilt the case.
