I am having some driver issues with my laptop which I got a few months ago.
Should I reinstall Windows? Will my steam game saves be fine?

If you do "keep my files "   It will remove all the applications which are present on your computer.    It will not remove your personal files..

Before trying  keep my files you can try the following steps..

Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue..

    Try windows x
click on power shell admin or command prompt admin
    type rstrui
chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fine
    click on next, finish, yes
It will restore your computer to an earlier date
if you get an message - system restore not completed - click on close
It will show you all the icons..

Try and check whether it is working now ..

    If it is not working..

Kindly create a new user and set it as administrator from the link given below

click on the user name - set it as admin

Logout and login as a new user and check

If it is not working ..

    Try windows + x

Go to device manager.  Right click on the driver which is causing the issue.  Click on update.  Check whether it is working fine.  If it is not working .. Right click on the driver which is causing the issue.  Click on uninstall and restart the computer.  Check whether it is working fine

If it is still not working
Again uninstall the driver from device manager - Don't restart the computer.

type snid or chose your model

What is your PC's full model number?
If you are worried about the game files you can reset your PC but use the option to keep files.

When bootup ( still in black screen), hold down ALT ( or Fn+ALT keys) and keep tapping F10 key until you see the restore menu.

    In restore menu:

    Troubleshoot->Reset This PC->Keep My Files

    That should do it.

The model is Acer Nitro 5 AN515-43
So will reinstalling fix any driver error?
