    Sorry for the late reply. The laptop is very easy to open and access the drives, compared to others. If you watch the video at the end of this post, you can see them in the lower left, covered by the copper heatsink. Just disconnect the battery, unscrew the retaining screw for the heatsink, pull up slowly and carefully so as not to tear the thermal pads, and there they are.

    All this being said, my method occasionally had trouble recognizing the drives on boot up. I'll be moving to a single drive soon, now that several 4TB NVMe drive options exist.
