Safe temperatures for An515-54?

Hello community.

Recently I've been digging around internet and found some articles about CPU temps, and also some reviews, and how thermal throttling affects CPU and Turbo boost and may harm CPU in extended periods and so on...

Anyway, my laptop gets an average 80-85 Celsius in games, and may even get over 90 Celsius sometimes.

Like when i play NFS:Payback, temps stick to 85 mostly and would even get over 90-93 for a bit while.

I have a cooling pad, i capped FPS at 45-30 to get lower performance --> less heat. but i was still wondering if this average temp and maximum is considered as safe or not.

I have a AN515-54 74HX

P.S: I already have latest drivers installed.

Hi,
Your CPU can withstand up to 100°C and the Graphics card up to 95°C, so I would suggest not to worry about the temperatures but if you prefer to lower the temperatures, install Throttlestop and undervolt the CPU which will reduce the temperatures without reducing the performance, please follow the guide in the video, it may be for a different CPU but the method is same.

My GPU is around 70- 75 mostly, i think that's almost a "safe" temp for 1650 NVIDIA.

I am aware of Tj max temp which is 100.C for 9750H.

but I've seen in some forums that when temperatures get over 90.C, CPU starts to disable Turbo boost, plus extended periods of using CPU in these temperatures may decrease lifespan and reduce it to 2-3 years.

I do games on a routine and every day and let's say: 2 times\day, each time 60-75 minutes assuming with 85.C average and maximum 90-95.C .

may it a harm for CPU or mainboard in the future?

Should not be having an issue but it depends upon how long you are using the laptop.

No problem, try the undervolting, it's safe and will not impact the performance.
