Hi

Friend's e1-571 (upgraded to win10) has no built-in Bluetooth. No problem, thinks I, I'll upgrade the WiFi card to an Intel 3650 BT+Wifi card, get her -ac at the same time.

The card works fine. WiFi is rock solid. But no Bluetooth. I reinstall the card drivers. I install Intel Bluetooth drivers, in case somehow that's required. Nothing helps: adding Bluetooth devices just says "Bluetooth is not enabled" and asks me to check if Bluetooth is turned on.

I tried a 7360 card and that showed the same issue.

If I plug a usb Bluetooth stick into the laptop the Bluetooth options appear immediately, so it's not that the Bluetooth subsystem isn't working. It's just like the system thinks there's a separate Bluetooth switch on the laptop (there isn't) and without turning it on it won't play ball. I tried all the function keys in case one of them acts as a BT switch, but nope.

Is there some way of persuading windows that the Bluetooth card that it must know is there should be enabled?

Both cards works fine for BT+WiFi in my Inspiron, fwiw.

Thanks
