OK. With the old drive still disconnected, what happens when you turn the machine on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key? Jack E/NJ

I guess a reset is the next option. Jack E/NJ

Just to make sure, PC reset? Do you know by any case how to reset battery because I don't have a pinhole on the bottom?

No, I meant the troubleshoot reset option. Is this the same screen you get when you don't use ALT+F10 at startup? The battery reset without the pinhole is to remove the charger, the remove the battery connector from the mainboard. Jack E/NJ

When I don't use the ALT+F10 I get the message that Windows could not be loaded and options on the screen to turn off the PC or see advanced and there I can enter command prompt and other stuff as well. Do you think that battery reset could help in this case?
    P. S. I don't have windows installation disk.

OK, ALT+F10 again and try to reset thru the troubleshoot option. Jack E/NJ

So I decided to disconnect the battery, left it unplugged for about 15 minutes and after connecting it back it is working now. Thank you for all the help.
