Swift laptop screen not working SF314-41

I am having an issue with my laptop’s display. While the laptop was off I wiped down the keys, not realising that I could be activating functions unintentionally (stupid me). When I power on the laptop, the display screen does not activate, while the keyboard backlighting does come on though. I have tried connecting the laptop to an external monitor but that also does not seem to work. I suspect it could be a BIOS issue as when I try to disable the backlighting on the keyboard with the Fn + F8 combination it does not seem to deactivate the keyboard backlighting. So I think need to find a way to get the laptop to boot. 

I have also tried the display toggle on/off Fn keys on the keyboard but that also does not work. 

Any ideas on how I can fix this? Any help is much appreciated.

Hi,
You could try a battery reset, switch off the laptop, disconnect from mains, follow the instructions in the video, leave the laptop to rest for 15Mins, reconnect AC adapter and fully charge the battery before starting.
