I know there is multiple posts and videos on these two topics so let me be quick to summarize.

1. I cannot get headset microphone to function. I have tried everything that I can find in all the posts. This includes every toggleable software setting I can think of in addition to non-OMTP to OMTP convert (from Sony Ericcson). I've also tried updating drivers on realtek and I think i got base driver updated, but some of the other auxiliary realtek stuff listed on this machine, I couldn't get to install. I tried with 4 different headsets. I was able to get one to work for a while, but now I am even struggling to get that one to work again. I realize that the setup on this is not straightforward and this may be why a lot of people struggle, but I am at a loss for additional things to try. Only way I can get mic to work with a headset is to set the realtek output device setting to headphone and then use the laptop microphone array as my input device.

Seems like this is a very common problem on these laptops. Has this been determined to be a common hardware failure problem or has there been a firmware fix for this released? I'm debating sending my laptop back on warranty repair, but I don't really want to do this unless I'm out of options... perhaps there is another OMTP adapter I can try that is known to work?

2. In buying this laptop, I wouldn't have thought my CPU would've been the bottleneck, but in both Fortnite and modern warefare, my CPU is pegged out with GPU only running at 50-80% usually (but does spike up to 100% occasionally. In fortnite I can only get like my refresh rate is usually running 40-80hz on my 155 hz external monitor. In MW it is better, like 60-110. In changing in game settings I can put video setting MAX to get GPU to load out, but low or extreme, my CPU is still pretty much maxed out and I'm more into getting good FPS than having really high graphics settings. I have numerous posts about how the CPU thermal paste is garbage and by repasting I can expect much better performance. Also, undervolting CPU.  I want to do this, but I'm not going to void my warranty so this is going to have to wait.

For the timing being, I am curious though how much improvement in performance can I expect by undervolting/repaste?
My CPU temps are even spiking to max temp when my laptop is idle. You can in chart below see when signed into windows and opened chrome about 2/3 away across chart, I got a bit more activity on cpu/gpu.

Anyways, this doesn't seem like this should happen? Is this an extreme case of bad CPU cooling or is this common?
