Acer Nitro 7 AN715-51 won't start on or charge

The laptop shut itself down without any warning while in use and now it's not turning on, and it won't even charge. It's still in warranty, but I need it urgently for my work. Any solution for this ? This model does not have a batter reset pin in the bottom and the back cover says warranty void is seal broken, so I cant even risk opening it up. I have tried the 15 seconds power button push, but it didn't work either. Please help

    Hi @surajkumarsingh

Hi, sorry to hear it. Try to do Power Drain and BIOS reset by following the below steps.

     Power Drain and BIOS RESET

    1) Unplug the AC power adapter.
    2) Press and hold the Power button down until the unit goes off.
    3) Search for a pinhole that has a battery symbol next to it on the backside of your laptop, insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole, press and  hold it down for 25 seconds. Then release the paperclip and turn the unit back to normal position.
    4) When the unit is off completely, press the power to turn on the unit.
    5) Immediately keep on tapping the F2 to enter the BIOS.
    6) In the BIOS, press F9 to reset the BIOS to setup defaults.
    7) At the confirmation screen, press Enter for Yes to load the default configuration.
    8) Press F10 to save your changes, and restart the system. Select Yes and press ENTER to confirm.
If this does not work try out a different wall socket or try swapping power cables

I hope that this is helpful to you! If I have answered your question click YES alone please, thank you  3

@LunaAdmirer As I have said, the laptop turned off and then did not restart, which means the device is not up. So, the power is already off. I have already done the power button push method, and nothing worked. I have also clearly mentioned that my system does not have a battery reset pinhole in the back or side :) I would have genuinely appreciated if you had read the question before copy pasting the same answer everywhere. I am already frustrated by the delay on Acer Support side, and also by the quality of their product with MRP over a lakh INR.

  • Turn off the laptop, unplug the power adapter, press the power button for 12 seconds and leave the laptop off for 20 minutes. I also advise checking out this topic in the German community: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=https://community.acer.com/de/discussion/589155/nitro-5-laptop-an517-51-7700-laesst-sich-ploetzlich-nicht-mehr-einschalten#latest
Models AN715-51 and AN517-51 have the same main board.

@surajkumarsingh @Pradhan did either of you find help for this?
I tried to submit for a repair but Acer says I bought my laptop in July 2019 and when I try to submit a picture to prove I purchased it in March 2020 it just gives me an error message. Sat on the phone on hold for nearly an hour and every forum I have found is as helpful as the responses that @LunaAdmirer and @egydiocoelho posted.
Unless you two have found something I just have a really expensive paperweight now and I'll be sure to avoid Acer products in the future.

@TheJudge Luckily, my machine was still in warranty, and in an splendid show of after sales services, Acer finally repaired my laptop after 3 whole months, but not before 2 rejected claims and constant nagging on customer support calls. I also had the same issue that even though I bought the laptop in 2020, warranty status shows from something July or August 2019, but I could care less as when I registered the complaint, it was still under warranty. ACER HAS THE LEAST CUSTOMER FRIENDLY SUPPORT AND BETTER TO AVOID IT IN FUTURE.
