Helios 300 unexpected shutdowns

hi guys. got myself a new laptop few weeks ago and got disappointed when it started to suddenly freezing for few seconds during my games and then just shut down. First time I was not bothered too much, but after that incident kept happening again and again, this made me sad.

The model is Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-53-79X2 NH.Q5RER.010
CPU i7 9750H 2.6
GPU RTX2070 8gb Max Q

In the Windows event viewer I can't see anything except basic kernal error (unexpected shutdown) without any further information.

My laptop is clean, I have very few software installed + of course some games. So far I have updated CPU and GPU drivers and updated BIOS, this didn't help, the problem keeps happening.

My theory is that undervolting causes this problem. For some reason my CPU core already locked at -0.125 and whenever I try to change it, it goes back to -0.125 after I restart the laptop.

The temperatures are fine I guess, even after about 5 hours of playing both CPU and GPU demanding games the temperatures are like 70-85 on both CPU and GPU, though I feel big fps drops. I sometimes forget to switch on the Turbo mode, but i can't really see a big difference except fans noise. Also, I never play unplugged.

I think I should "upvolt" my CPU a little (from the -0.125 point) because I think undervolted CPU may cause the system crash. This would make me sacrafice few cool temperature points, but if this would prevent shutdowns, I am ready. But before I do that I wanted to ask first how do I unlock this "upvolting" (because as I said the changes reset after I restart the pc) and second if I even need to do so or there are other solutions to my problem.

Thank you in advance!

Lusi optimise your windows properly and regarding undervolting check here check your temps if still high u need to either repasted with kryonaut or similar yourself if you can without voiding your warranty or send it to acer to repaste it with stock paste cpu shouldnt ho above 85'ish and gpu 70/75 max according to what you described your gpu its thermal throttling over 80 its bad thats why u have the freezes and fps drops u need to get it repasted and you can also undervolt the gpu with msi afterburner via curve if you need to plus undervolting should be done with TS only and not xtu as some do and -125mv its usually the stable settings for most cpus that can be manually tweaked more from there to find the sweet spot good luck
