HI, a month ago I bought an Acer Predator Helios 300, I was busy with college at the time so I didn't really game on the computer until today. I installed the latest drivers and everything runs amazing but there's only one problem, the temperature of my CPU and GPU reaches 92c and 85c respectively. I searched whether this is normal or not and apparently it isn't. The game that I was playing is Minecraft with some shaders and after a few minutes (aprox 4min) it gets that hot... I'm a real noob in computer stuff so I don't really know what to do. For that reason, I came here to get help from you guys.

My Laptop specs
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1660Ti
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59GHz
  • Windows 10
  • RAM: 16.0GB
  • Dual SSD+HDD support
  •  Gen Aero Blade 3D Tech
PD: I've already tried undervolting the laptop with Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility but it was already undervolted.

Thank for your time !! :)

Sorry, but it is normal. If you want cooler temps, you should've gotten a desktop. Jack E/NJ

Carlosd26 its not normal at all for any H300 2019 only for 2017/18 as they share the same heatpipes reset xtu to defaults completely remove it shutdown (not restart) boot into bios reset setup to defaults and use TS instead check here and if the temps are still over 85'ish cpu and 70/75 gpu max either contact acer and send it back to get it repasted with stock paste or do it yourself with kryonaut or similar if you can without voiding the warranty

Also and after cleaning fans and repasting with a top paste like Kryonaut, that have some great CPU/GPU pastes, then buy a good laptop pad cooler with big and surrounding fans e.g. Havit Slim, Aicheson or Cooler Master who make some great cooling pads or make a pad cooler yourself (if you are that inventive and technically minded) as they work very well, I've used one for years, and they work well. The  Acer Predator Helios 300 has very good venting in its casing so a bit of assistance in sucking the hot air out is a big advantage and reduces heat by at least 10c to 15cdegrees.

There no need to buy any coolers 😉 the secret it's to lift the back 2/3 inches for a proper airflow and you're good to go and just optimizing windows undervolting and properly repasting it with kryonaut dropped my temps down 25+ this was 2 years ago still same temps today but if you're really interested in a good cooler get a notepal xl one single huge fan does the job
