Hey mates,

Just got the game Anthem and loving it but my laptop CPU and GPU keeps hitting 90° - 95° Celcius when I'm playing. I don't drop frames or nothing so the game runs smooth, but I'm concerned that if I play the game for long periods of time under those temperatures that it will damage my CPU and GPU components. I'm aware that Anthem is poorly optimized and I watched a few youtube video's to curve that a bit, I used Riva Turner to keep the frames at 40 and that makes the CPU go from 100% and 100°C to 50-70% at 90-95° C which seemed like an improvement, I also brought the settings from ultra to medium, but still keep hitting the 90's in temp. Is it safe to play at these temperatures? Any tips?

My laptop: Predator PH317-52, i7-8750, GTX 1060, 16GB RAM.

@TheWizard check here  optimize windows and undervolt if you havent already and if after you still have high temps repasting with kryonaut or similar its the only solution if you can do it yourself without voiding your warranty i play Anthem on mine without any issues vsysnc off nothng capped anywhere (apart from undervolted) and with fans on auto coolboost on also bare in mind temp spikes do not count as high temp those are completely normal your cpu shouldnt go above 80/85 max and the gpu 70/75

Those temperatures seem excessive to me. Please, wait for someone more knowledgeable about your particular model...but if that was me I think I'd be looking into cleaning things out and re-pasting the CPU/GPU.

Okay, so with Rivi Turner setting the max frames to 30 and having fans at Max, I'm able to keep consistent temperatures on CPU to 77° to 81° Celcius being the max it peaked at. Major improvement, I know 80-85 is not ideal but doable for CPU and GPU long term. I'm really happy I was able to reach 77° Celcius stable and GPU is even lower temp so no problems there. Still would like any input an expert might have, I would like alternate solutions if possible, I would like to turn on 144 hertz at 1080p back on if possible and maybe up the frames to 50.

Thank you! @xapim that helped so much, getting mid 70's without Riva Tuner. Got the ThrottleStop files made a big difference. I will prob make a project out of repasting just to make it as optimized as possible. Thanks again! Awesome community :)

TheWizard youre welcome always glad to help :) and repasting it will surely improve my temps went down 25+ after optimizing windows/undervolting and repasting it with kryonaut and or course clean the fans properly and exit airflow while doing it and make sure to elevate the back 1/2 inches to provide a better airflow and youre also free to try the new PS (depending on your model should work fine on all G3-572+ check here
