Hi!
I own the Predator helios 300 15" with 144HZ display (2019 version).
Since the first day, I got random BSOD(blue screens) and resets. I started noticing that it happens mainly after I leave my computer turned on and unused for 30-60 minutes, maybe more.
Then, when I use my laptop after that period of time, it just runs really really slow for about 30-60 seconds and then resets.
Usually before the reset I launch a game and the first screen of the game is just "hanging" without getting anywhere and I can't quit even with alt+F4.. can't launch the start menu, can't launch anything even though that the windows itself is not frozen. then it resets.
I noticed that there's a BIOS update from version 0.2 to 0.8 so I did it and the blue screens are gone. but the resets remains the same :/
Did anybody come across this problem too?

    Hello!
I own a Predator G3-571 and the random "hanging" of the laptop often happens to me. It would usually happen when playing graphic-heavy games and to fix that would be to force shutdown the laptop. Currently, Predator Sense stopped opening so I can't adjust the fan speed with my overheating laptop. But yea, I also have the same problem with the random hangs.

avshi114 Ren645 have u optimized windows and undervolted it check here also might need the fans cleaned and repasting it with kryonaut or similar

To fix PS you can try either the new version here try this fix or the acer official fix here

If after all the steps above still crashes i recommend to backup everything and perform a stock recovery clean install check here

hi xapim, thanks for your comment!
I followed your link and downloaded the undervolt software that matched my cpu I7-9750H.
but when I tried to play FIFA 20 (which is a fairly light game) I got a lot of lags. I can't even play normally
And about the other solutions you offered, I noticed that the should fix issues where the PS won't open. In my case the PS is working fine.

When playing games are you guys using the "turbo" button/profile? If you are, do NOT use that if you are windows 1903 or 1909. Windows 10 made some changes internally to how it manages the graphics cards and this messed up turbo bad. This becomes issue with some users and occasionally for turbo on GPU is not used for all games and at all times.

I realized this issue when I moved from 1809 to 1903. Removing my MSI afterburner (in your terms, not using the turbo if you are using it) made these crashes go away. Issue persists on 1909 too.

Backup all your data onto a SEPARATE disk (external or internal or even a USB stick).
Make a windows 1909 install USB.
    Clean install windows 1909.
Once laptop is up and running, disable windows update from auto updating drivers.
Disable "fast startup" option under windows power settings.
Disable all unwanted windows services like search, sysmain and such.
    Turn power plan to Balanced.

    See if this helps.

avshi114 Ren645  just to add to the post above before you fresh install windows if your recovery partition its still intact get a 16gb usb drive a nd create a stock recovery usb drive via acer care center for safe keeping you can also try a stock recovery clean install after ALT+F10 on boot select delete everything and see if the issues persist check here
