Black screen issue on Triton 500. Census of owners

I’ve got a question to Triton 500 owners. Did you face a black screen issue, when you play games and the screen suddenly becomes black and only battery reset button helps?

I saw several different people with such issue and I’m trying to understand whether it’s a hardware issue or a strange combination of software issues. Fresh drivers, clean OS install or new bios don’t help those people. Such a thing happened on 2060 version and 2080, in both Optimus and g-sync mode. Also, I noticed that people faced this issues were playing far cry new dawn and metro exodus. Only these games caused this problem.

I own triton 500 with 2080 for several month and didn’t face this issue.

I have an impression that it’s hardware related issue and units with 9750H don’t have it

Hi, Triton 500 owner here. I have had this laptop for a year now but the black screen during gaming started yesterday (twice). I use an external monitor.

I just did the battery reboot, because I had read it was a quick fix: and yes, the laptop works now...but I have not played games since that reboot. I want to know what causes the black screen, so that it does not happen again - I am sure the hard reboots are not kind on the machine.

I know these posts are old at this point and I've spent days scouring forums until I took it into my own hands, using the panel to see all applications that have occurred I notice a Windows error 1000 related to Microsoft.net framework, I reinstalled the framework and it's working perfectly now.

T3nshyxo glad you got it sorted and shared your fix hope it will also works with others with the same issue but most times each issue even looking similar are completely different unfortunately but well done
