Hello,

This is my 2nd Predator 500 laptop and I'm seeing the same high temp issues after updating the BIOS.

1st laptop was returned due to green orbs being spotted during gaming (Probably due to faulty GPU Memory), and high temps being seen after updating the BIOS.
2nd laptop (Current), I'm seeing the same issues with high temps due to the fans not kicking into higher RPMs sooner, or failing to detect CPU/GPU temps properly. The laptop didn't show any cooling issues with v1.08, and AUTO mode would spin the fans up as necessary, but as soon as the laptop was updated to version v1.09 it appears the fans do not spin up faster as the temps climb on the CPU and GPU.

During a session of Red Dead 2 last night the temps on the GPU hit 80c, and I only realized this because the game FPS went all the way down to single digits due to the GPU throttling. When I saw the very low fps I immediately opened AMDs metrics overlay and saw the high GPU temps and low gpu clocks.

Has anyone else noticed or experienced very high temps due to the fans not kicking into higher rpms when running AUTO in Predator Sense? I have to manually set the fan speed to 3000+ rpms just to keep the laptop at a decent 60c during gaming, which I shouldn't need to do.

NoBlemish if you didnt had any issues with the previous bios why was the reason you updated ??? also if youre having thermal issues you should optimize windows/undervolt it if you havent already check here and repaste it with kryonaut or similar the stock thermal paste its not good and if badly applied becomes even worse

Also perform a battery powerdrain (let it rest for 2/3h) and reset bios to defaults see if it helps if not you could try to downgrade you bios but thats a very risky procedure do it at your own risk
