Hello there, I am wondering if I am able to Undervolt my Acer Nitro 5 (i5-8300H core + GTX 1050Ti + 12GB DDR4 ram    Nitro AN515-53) without voiding warrenty or without having any negative effects on my computer. The reason I am asking this is because I have recently been expereincing lag spikes that drop my frames down to around 10-15 for a few seconds and then jump back up in games like Grand Theft Auto 5. Mostly all of my settings are on high but I get a stable 60-75fps when the lag spikes do not occur, so I don't think the settings are a problem. Even if I run at lower settings this still occurs.

To avoid overheating and thermal throttling (which is happeneing) I always run cool boost on max and I have also gotten a laptop cooler that the laptop sits on but those are yet to help. My GPU usually runs at at 60-72 degrees celcius but the CPU runs in the high 80s-90s. If undervolting is safe and doesn't take away performance or there is an alternative method, please let me know in the comments below. And if you need additional screenshots or information, feel free to let me know again.

If you've read all of this, thank you.

Rocco
