If it's only a week old, then I suggest you quickly return it  as defective to the seller/vendor for an exchange or refund before their RMA period expires. Do it now because ACER warranty service will take longer. Jack E/NJ

I didn't buy this laptop, I was given this laptop by acer because they couldn't fix my old one that was under warranty.

Shouldn't matter. Have you contacted ACER warranty service again to report that the replacement is also defective? https://www.acer.com/ac/en/AU/content/support  If not, do this now. Jack E/NJ
