New helios 300 showing signs of breakdown already?

I used to have the predator 15, that broke down, luckily I had warranty and they sent me a Helios 300, 8705H with a Gtx 1060. Day 3 and it failed to boot into Windows 3 times before it worked without any troubleshooting. I had to force power down twice too, should I be concerned?
Also, without overclocking, I’m getting temeperatures in the high 50s and low 60s on idle. At around 30% usage, they get to the 70s. And it gets to throttle temps when gaming even with max fans.

As long as it boots OK now, don't worry. What do you mean 'throttle temps'? Either it throttled the game or it didn't. Jack E/NJ

    First - Default your BIOs.

    F2 on bootup - F9 to default - F10 to Save & Exit
    ------------------------------
    Undervolting may also help.
I've made a complete configuration for the i7-850H using Throttlestop.

Download and place in My Documents then run the Throttlestop.exe.

After that follow this guide and apply the methods shown in the video to applications and programs you've installed yourself.

Thanks for the answers, I've also noticed the temperatures are higher when it's plugged in. I'll try undervolting. By throttle temps I meant 97 degrees celcius. I haven't changed any BIOs though, or are they factory changed?

I guess if you already optimized windows and undervolted and u are getting the same results and as its a brand new unit repaste its the only option left and its normal that the temps are higher when connected because it uses the high performance plan you should always have it on AC and 100% battery full when gaming when on battery it will reduce the performance a lot because its setup that way in the bios (hidden features only available to the engineers on unlocked bios) to save battery so you wont have any great performance on battery only

So an update. I was having GPU issues (code 43 on device manager), I tried every solution I can find, and it didn't work. So I decided to use a restore point, it was stuck on registry for very long and I went to sleep, when I woke up, it said my PC ran into an issue, and I could not boot into Windows, I tried other restore points but they just said it was not completed successfully, then I decide to reset the pc entirely, I chose the keep my files option though. I was able to boot back into Windows but the gpu still has the same error, I'm suspicious that the gpu isn't properly installed or something?

You should back up your personal files and do a full erase-everything ALT+F10 cold boot factory reset. This is arguably the best way to rule in or rule out a hardware issue like this. Jack E/NJ

I decided to reset the pc again but with deleting everything, I'll try what you said if it still doesn't work. What does a cold boot factory reset do exactly?

Try it again anyway from outside the Windows environment. Cold boot means cold boot! Shut the machine completely off. Then turn it back on again and IMMEDIATELY press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. Don't wait for the ACER logo screen to appear. Jack E/NJ

Oh ok, I'll give that a try, thanks for clarifying.

It did not work, I hope it's just because I was too slow, the predator logo appeared for a second before it turned into the please wait screen. I'll try again in a couple of hours.

Yes. You gotta be quick after the pushing power button. It's too late if the logo screen pops up. Jack E/NJ

I can't do it >.< I'm spamming the button and the logo always pops up for a split second

I also tried holding down the alt f10, the logo shows up for a split second no matter what. I tried from there and it still doesn't work, so I'm guessing it's a hardware issue?

Well looks your recovery might be corrupted if you cant access it via alt+F10 if so you might want to create a win 10 usb recovery drive and fresh install it but as it was said backup everything first just to rule out the software issue

Sorry, I was unclear, but I thought the guy above meant that it "cold booting" won't work if I dont do alt F10 before the logo appears. I was still able to to get to the menu via alt f10 but the reset doesn't solve my issue.

Did you mean to say this? Or did you mean that you could get to the recovery menu but only from inside the Windows environment? Jack E/NJ

I CAN get into the recovery menu via alt f10 on startup, I just can NOT get it up before the logo shows up though.
To clarify, what happens is this:
    1. I boot up
    2. I hold alt and spam f10 (I tried holding it as well)
    3. Logo shows up for a split second
    4. I get into recovery menu
    5. I tried to reset from there
    6. It resets and i setup windows
    7. Didn't solve my issue
    8. Repeated 2 more times.

OK. If the ALT+F10 erase-everything reset was a success each time, and it's still overheating, then it is most likely a thermal paste failure between the CPU/GPU and their heatsinks. They need to be re-pasted with a high-quality heat exchange medium like  Arctic MX-4 https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-MX-4-Compound-Performance-Interface/dp/B0045JCFLY

But what about the code 43 GPU error I mentioned earlier? Is it possible to send it back to acer or somethin? It's like a week old.
