    Good night Ersatz !

This will depend on your needs.
SSD will greatly improve read / write speeds, which in general makes the system much faster and smoother.
Already the RAM, will improve the performance of Windows, but mainly of the software that require more memory resources.

    Hi,
You could install a M.2 SATA SSD and add another 4GB module(guess you already have 4GB module in the laptop) to increase the performance, you may install a NVMe SSD, if you prefer but make sure that you have the maximum link width value of 2x for one of the PCI Express Root port, please read these threads for more information.

    Hi,

Upgrading your computer depends upon your choice. If you want to improve the device performance, data transfer speed and boot times then its recommended to upgrade SSD.

If you are planning to use the device for higher programming and efficiency then consider upgrading RAM.

If you think of both then its always good to upgrade both that way you would have a complete perfect machine for speed and efficiency.
