BIOS updates can't be deleted without disabling the machine. Did you take it to a technician because you were you having problems with the touchpad? Jack E/NJ

I took it to the technician the day after Acer updated my device(last week Wednesday). They couldn't fix it

OK. Try this. Turn the machine completely off. Then turn it back on again and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear that will allow you to reset the machine to a factory fresh state as in the video below. If it's a software problem, the touchpad should work again. If it doesn't, then it is probably a hardware problem. Jack E/NJ

Hi, I did what you told me to do but my mouse still doesn't work! I guess it's the hardware's problem.
Also, my screen keeps flashing, is this related?
    Thanks

Make sure the touchpad is turned on with the FN+F7 toggle key combination. Jack E/NJ

I'm pretty sure it's turned on...

Pretty sure? Either it turns on or it doesn't turn on by pressing the FN+F7 keys. When it turns on, a screen touchpad image momentarily appears. A similar image momentarily appears when you turn it off with the same FN+F7 keys. Jack E/NJ

I think this is a touchpad issue, not a screen blinking issue. Jack E/NJ

My bios version right now is 1.32
My screen did start flashing after a few days from this update.
    Thank you

Yes, I have tried doing this. Nothing happens
    Thank you
  • Has the problem with the mouse also occurred after upgrading to bios version 1.32? In bios, is there a function called touchpad?

If you're now having problems with screen flashing, you should take this machine back to the technician who installed these ACER BIOS updates. They should not have been installed if your machine had no problems to begin with. Jack E/NJ

    Sure!
They only installed it because my touchpad wasn't working.

Try this once: Download DriverMax or DriveEasy (DriverMax is free though, don't know about the other one), scan your PC and then, update your touchpad driver only through it.

Hi XdxD, I've been busy lately so I didn't have time to go on this website to reply.
Thanks for your suggestion, but I didn't see touchpad in the updates list.
I might be getting a new laptop soon, so there is no need for you guys to help me anymore.
    Many thanks!
Enjoy the rest of your day!
