Hi everyone i wonder if someone in here has been able to have multiple OS running on G3-572 for ex: (XP, 7, 10) i have that running on my 7745G (it was a nightmare to get it) but in order to have XP running in AHCI i had to install it first with AHCI disabled (ide mode) and then install the AHCI driver when on XP and was able to boot it when i enabled AHCI in the bios again on predator bios i tried to get my external dvd drive recognized on uefi which wont recognize any usb devices neither the internal hdd only the m.2ssd.
So i researched and went from uefi to legacy disabled the security and was able to boot XP dvd from my external drive but now my issue is i cant install it because i get a BSOD with the bios in AHCI mode and there is no way of swapping it to normal ide anyone knows anyway of either getting the bios unlocked to be able to change the AHCI mode in order to install XP or is there any other trick in the book to get it installed.
Worst case scenario is i won't be able to run XP on this predator anyway maybe someone on here have managed to do it i would be very grateful to find out how i just got my wd blue 3d nand 2tb and its all partitioned to get all the 3

PS: i did some tests and cloned my internal 128gb ssd into the 2tb (working inside the startech dual m.2 sata raid adapter running on my sata dock via usb) cloned with easeus partition master and both drives showed up on uefi mode although the cloned one will not boot lol it was only a test anyway :P

It is advisable not to install windows XP, vista since Microsoft has stopped support for this OS. The hardware is not designed for outdated windows OS.
Acer only provides support for the Operating System that  originally shipped with your computer. If you send in the device for warranty service, Acer will not be able to assist with nor provide support for upgrading or changing the Operating System.
Also, please create the USB recovery media before making any changes on your laptop.

The below weblink should be helpful to your while installing Ubuntu in dual boot.

Easiest way out - install XP on a virtual machine. Personally speaking, given that I have multiple OS alongside mine as VMs, this is the easiest way than trying to figure out all these boot issues and compatible drivers. Also, though you might get it working, you could possibly encounter driver issues. I encountered quite a few issues with Windows 7 (clean install on HDD, not VM); and took quite some time to figure all out. And with XP, these aren't going to be any less.

@xapim Windows 7... this I managed to install on my G3-572 and there is a thread too on here that details the process.
Never bothered about XP since I can always load into a VM if needed.
