    In my opinion, this is inoperable surgery. However, here is the text of the convoluted step-by-step procedures to go along with @egydiocoelho 's images. Jack E/NJ

    Removing the Battery/Keyboard Combo Cable
    1. Perform the “Removing the LCD Back Cover” procedure
    2. Release the battery/keyboard combo cable from the latches and tape securing it to the LCD panel.
    3. Disconnect the battery cable from the mainboard.
    4. Release the keyboard cable from the transparent adhesive tape securing it to the mainboard.
    5. Disconnect the keyboard cable from the mainboard.

    Removing the LCD Back Cover
    1. Perform the “Removing the Upper Case” procedure

    Removing the Upper Case
    1. Perform the “Removing the Battery Pack” procedure described on page 3-11.
    2. Perform the “Removing the Charger Board” procedure described on page 3-13.
    3. Perform the “Removing the USB Board” procedure described on page 3-17.
    4. Perform the “Removing the Keyboard Dongle” procedure described on page 3-19.
    5. Perform the “Removing the Speaker Module” procedure described on page 3-21.

    Removing the Battery Pack
    1. Perform the “Removing the Lower Case” procedure
    Removing the Lower Case
    1. Remove the six screws securing the lower case to the upper case.

    Removing the Charger Board
    1. Perform the “Removing the Battery Pack” procedure
    2. Release the charger cable from the transparent adhesive tape securing it to the USB board.
    3. Disconnect the charger cable from the USB board.
    4. Release the charger cable from the transparent adhesive tape securing it to the charger board.
    5. Disconnect the charger cable from the charger board.
    6. Release the charger cable from the latches and tape securing it to the upper case.
    7. Remove the screw securing the charger board to the upper case.
    8. Gently lift the charger board from the upper case.

    Removing the USB Board
    1. Perform the “Removing the Battery Pack” procedure
    2. Disconnect the USB cable from the USB board.
    3. Remove the two screws securing the USB board to the upper case.
    4. Detach the USB board from the upper case.

    Removing the Keyboard Dongle
    1. Perform the “Removing the Battery Pack” procedure
    2. Release the keyboard cable from the transparent adhesive tape securing it to the dongle
    3. Disconnect the keyboard cable from the dongle.
    4. Gently lift the keyboard dongle from the upper case.

    Removing the Speaker Module
    1. Perform the “Removing the Battery Pack” procedure
    2. Disconnect the speaker cable.
    3. Remove the two screws securing the speaker module to the upper case.
    4. Detach the speaker module from the upper case.

    I will give it a try, but if I see that I'm near breaking the rest of the tablet (I know myself when It comes to DIY  =) ) , I will stop.

    Thanks to you too @JackE (I didn't see your post when I posted my last answer, beacause of the new page)
    I salute treat sharing effort  ;)

    I guess I will end up using an old corded keyboard... The only sure method to make this work  =) all i need is a usb hub to free a port for other devices.

    Sorry for the late feedback, but I had some personal issues.

    Unfortunately, the BindTest solution did not solve the issue (seems to be normal as the KB looks dead).
    I did not have enough courage to dismantle the back of the tablet, this seems a little bit "long". I wouldn't have hesitated if It was the KB which is in any case out of service.
    Anyway, the steps are here if one day I changed my mind.

    I wish there were an ACER software solution to get the status of the KB via BT or hardware (when plugged).
