As i said in previous answers my solution for my G3-572 is reset power pinhole all goes back to normal in the next boot and also in the nvidia cp set the 3d settings and PhysX to the nividia gpu so it wont use the intel and also it's always good to set it manually per app as some games might default to your intel gpu instead of using the gtx just a suggestion i have experience with latest drivers from last week and no issues here im on 416.34 :)

no need for reseting power through pinhole...i had sam problem with helios 500, just turn off fast boot ( fast start ) and you should be ok. Laptop basically never shuts down if fast start is turned on. Hope this solves your problem

Same issue here. Have a Predator Helios 300. Already tried updating drivers. Did the sleep and wake thing. Any other solutions guys? I know for a fact that the discrete GPU is not idle since it has activity in Task Manager.

Try this one it worked for me no more pinhole reset to get it to pick up the gpu

@alishock your answer its not a solution at all GE on PS its just a quick shortcut the software itself has nothing to do with PS whatsoever plus if you have any issues i suggest you open your own thread in order to get the proper help

Yeah so I have a GeForce GTX 1660Ti and after I got it back from geek squad, all of my data was wiped(including original acer settings and programs) and I opened predator sense and it says discrete GPU is idle, it wont let me see temp or over clock it and im worried that something bad happened. I definitely saw a 30 min extra time for the computer. Is my GPU ok and will it work if I open a game for example. How do I make it turn on all time?

    Hi @varun988
as @Sharanji mentioned, the GPU isn't always running, and it is completely natural to see the idle message on the predator sense. I get it all the time when I'm not playing any games. It's not a problem. Also, can you provide info on your model number?
    Hi Sushant,
How did you know that the GPU is not always running? Do you know is any way how to configure the GPU to start running when I want?
For example I am using software which require GPU and because is not working I received the message: "graphical card not supported, .... minimum 2GB requested..." and with my on-board graphical card is not possible and sory but not for this I bought my laptop.
And second, this was happend when I play an online game VALORANT https://playvalorant.com/en-gb/. During the game I had to put my funs on maximum in order to keep my computer temperaturre bellow 90. And even so my laptop Predator Triton 500 PT515-51 restarded and since that moment my GPU is IDLE !!!
To me this sounds like this laptop is not dedicated to gamers as they claim and the GPU is gone. I will try to see if I can get my money back. I am not happy with this !

I have the same problem, when I play fifa 19 on my device it gets stuck after the 10 mins and I have to Overclock GPU which shows the temperature of GPU in Predator sense but now it always shows GPU is idle & Even though I overclock it to turbo it does not give any effect.

SurangaNG battery powerdrain followed by a bios setup defaults or also most times log off and back on will fix it and make sure you have taken ownership of the windows apps hidden folder in program files and run PS as admin from there not from the normal shortcut and read my posts above as im not going to repeat myself on this thread again
