So that's a great list of monitors you put together.

But I am confused a bit. I hope someone can clarify. I own the Helios 300 and would like to buy an external monitor that can gsync with it. The Helios doesn't have a display port so we buy a monitor than can push at least 120hz through HDMI. These monitors have freesync for AMD but Nvidia has released a driver so gsync can work with freesync monitors.

     Great.

But I've read that gsync ONLY works with display port. So how in the world are you guys using gsync with the Helios? Isn't that the point of the list of monitors that have freesync through HDMI?

What am I misunderstanding here? I'd really like to get rid of screen tearing and I've seen some reports that fps will even be boosted with gsync as you can turn vsync off. Any help is great appreciated.

G Sync on my works via DP.
    No G Sync for 2017-2018 Helios 300.

So I intend on buying the ViewSonic XG2402 to pair with my predator Helios and just to make sure this monitor is capable of producing 1080p@144hz through hdmi correct? Has anyone bought this one and could tell me about screen tearing or some other flaw I am unaware of.

    AOC C24G1

24.0" 1920 × 1080 VA monitor (FreeSync over DP and HDMI)
    Maximum of 144HZ over HDMI

I am thinking about buying the aoc c24g1 and I was wondering if you can use adaptive sync over hdmi. I also was wondering if you can use overdrive instead of freesync to eliminate screen tearing. Is the gtx 1060 6gb powerful enough to power the monitor at 144hz?

MightyMaster its probably ok (not sure about adaptive sync neither overdrive) but bare in mind your temps will go up high as usual with external monitors :) maybe the OP above can share more about it

Hey! Thanks for the quick reply. I have a Helios 300 G3-571 2017 model with the 60Hz screen. From what I read from the previous comments on this post, I find that people recommend buying monitors with HDMI 2.0 to get 144Hz through HDMI. Is that true? Or will I be able to get 144Hz using HDMI 1.4 itself? This is because I found a few AOC monitors on the list you asked me to look through which sound good to buy (They have only HDMI 1.4).

Also, any specific monitor you'd recommend? Thanks again!
