Hello - I have a nearly new Iconia  8W1-810 tablet and I do not understand about the cameras (I know there are 2) I typed in camera and it appeared but the screen is just black! What appears is on top left it flashed camera on and mid right of screen there is a circle says photo with a video icon above it and a settings button which seems to be correctly set.
I pressed the photo button and there was a quiet click and a small square which would have been a photo appeared at bottom right of the blank screen.
I am elderly but quite computer savvy so I spent ages taking the tablet back to factory settings and re imputing all my saved date - but it made no difference. So...................what is wrong with the camera and also, where do I find the front camera to use so I can skype! When I typed in 'camera' in search all I got was the one?
Thanks everyone
Gordon

Well most of the Androids will let you take a screenshot. I understand partial of your inquiry. Can you take a screenshot of the issue by pressing down the volume down button and lock button?

Alternatively, you can check this thread for answers perhaps: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/133755/acer-iconia-a1-810-camera-problem
    BElieve in YOUrself.

In Windows Phone 8.1, select More (the three dots), and then select front-facing or main camera.
You can also swipe in from the bottom edge to see the app commands and then select the Change camera button.
Skype is always activated in the background.
You can change between back/front by tapping the camera icon while in a call.

Well this is a closeup of the upper left corner camera switch button on my W3 (8" Acer Windows tablet)

If not getting anything you may need to reload/reinstall the camera driver.

ps looks like you have an Intel GC2235 camera.

Hello again - well I have done everything but no luck - however!..................when I now switch the camera on it opens every time but only the camera facing me so I see myself and can take photos of myself by pressing the camera button to the right of the screen. I cannot find how to get the back camera to work but when I was pressing the screen (do not know how!) the back camera starting working but after taking some photos it reverted to the front camera again!
A fault message appears saying OxA00F4243(OxC00D3704) and that is a MS fault message I think. Help!
Whilst I am on- I am new to this forum - is there a way I can see any replies to these questions in my email inbox?
    Thanks
