it's locked on Acer AMD cpus based laptops, the only workaround is to search for a modded BIOS but this will void your warranty.

AMD-V works fine.  It's already unlocked.  Check to make sure you have the latest BIOS.  You don't need a modded BIOS.

To find out if you have the latest BIOS....

    1. Right click on the Windows Start Button
    2. Left click on Run
    3. Type msinfo32
    4. Click ok

Check the Appendix folder for BIOS update instructions.

If you're trying to run Hyper-V then you need Windows 10 Professional.  VirtualBox works on Windows 10 Home.

Virtualization isn't available on the GX-281 motherboard even with the latest bios.  The GX-281 system I have has very minimal BIOS settable variables. No fan speeds, voltages, memory timings, sleep states,  or other options are available.

I found the instructions on how to enable virtualization on

I don't understand why you posted to an old thread about people having trouble with R01-A2.  I read the link you posted and it's about R1-A2.  Virtualization works fine with R1-A3 or newer Acer BIOS.  There's no need for a modded BIOS or any special instructions. Take care and good luck.
