Bootable drive not detected in Bios ACER Swift SF514-55T-70LG
Hello all,
I recently bought an Acer Aspire 7 which had a free SSD slot, so I recently got a SSD and installed it. It is a WD M.2 500Gb, no problem after installation, Windows detects it and I assigned a letter to a NTFS partition.
Now I would like to migrate Windows on it in order to make it all faster. I read I could simply clone Windows 10 using EaseUS Todo Backup, which I did. The cloning went well, all partitions were cloned from my HDD, including Windows 10.
However, when I enter the Bios with F2, the SSD is detected (as HDD0) as well as the original hard drive (as HDD01) but only the HDD appears as a bootable device in UEFI mode. If I switch to Legacy mode, the SSD pops up in the list but remains unbootable.
I then decided to try another solution: to clean install W10 from a bootable USB. I created a bootable UBS key from a W10 ISO using another tool, which went smoothly (the EFI file is there) but... it is also absent from the bootable devices in the Bios.
I think my laptop refuses to boot from any other device, even bootable ones. Any solution?
Thanks a lot.
