Does it affect the lifetime of the hardware when Predator Sense is used too often?

Hi, I was wondering whether it is advisable to frequently use predator sense to overclock the GPU, Maximize fan speeds, turn on CoolBoost while gaming?
I recently read an article saying that the overclocking takes a toll on the hardware, and am a little concerned whether it is true.

Would you recommend me using predator sense every time I play a game?

You can use Acer PredatorSense software as per the gaming application requirement. This allows you to monitor your CPU and GPU usage, as well as customize your Predator system for optimal gaming performance.

Running GPU fans at max for hours at a time while gaming won't do any real harm, aside from increasing their energy consumption and noise output.

However, running GPU fans at max for hours at a time endlessly over many days or weeks or months will shorten their life. Usually the bearings dry up or become misaligned/imbalanced through excessive wear, unpleasant audio frequencies and disturbing oscillations become increasingly noticeable as they slowly fail.

Most GPUs (I hope) have at least rudimentary thermal regulation which will shut down the part at dangerous heat thresholds.

    What about overclocking at turbo?

    Hi,
Yes, normally overclocking will stress HW but I have very little experience with overclocking, so it's better to wait for experienced members respond.
Please read this thread for any helpful information:https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/520412/helios-300-g3-571-gpu-overclock

GPU and CPU are the most durable componets in a laptop, so it is much more likely something else to get damaged than the GPU. Overclocking reduces the lifespan of the GPU(not by much), because the temperature increases, but even with this the GPU will last long enough(more than 5 years). It is better to overclock only when the refresh rate of the game is lower than 60 and you want to keep it as high as possible.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
