Hi! I've had performance issues when playing games pretty much since i bought this computer two years ago. The issues became more severe after I did a restore on year ago(due to random freezes when the computer was left idle). It haven't really been the same since. It's supposed to be a pretty high-end gaming laptop afaik. I wanted to pick up gaming again and have tried to play some PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds, but the fps issues are too substantial(the same can be said for others games like, Overwatch, Dota2, CSGO, to various degrees). I've turned down graphics and modified launch options in game, fixed 3D settings in nvidia control panel, changed battery settings to high performance etc... I even replaced the thermal paste one year ago when I believed that high temperatures was the problem, but it didn't made any substanstial difference. And from what I heard, the computers are built to maximize temperatures(for increasing CPU and GPU performance)? Maybe someone else can confirm that? I noticed that disabling the Geforce In-Game Overlay helped a bit. Do anyone else experience similiar issues? Do anyone have any ideas how to improve perfomance or what the root of the problem potentially could be? It shouldn't be this bad? Thanks in advance.
