Acer Aspire Switch 10 mousepad not working

Hi all,

I have an Aspire Switch 10 (Aspire SW5-011) and the mousepad have stopped responding.

I think it's similar to this problem posted here.

I've ofc tried fn+f7, and this removes the weird circle around the mouse (like the picture in the link I posted above). I can plug in an USB mouse, and then I can move the mouse cursor around as normal - except sometimes there is a right-click out of nowhere. If I then unplug the USB mouse and presses fn+f7 again, the problem reoccurs.

I have also tried downloading the drivers from the acer support pages and updating them, but this hasn't solved the problem either. Also tried just removing the mouse and keyboard devices in Device Manager and then restarting, but no help there either.

Also when the USB mouse is plugged in and I disabled the touchpad (fn+f7), then I can't click on anything in Chrome.

I'm at my wits end, and I don't have time to send it in for repair, since I'm leaving my country in one weeks time and not coming back until December.

Is the only solution left to reset everything?

In this case, since you already downloading the drivers from the our website and updating them. I suggest you reset to factory default.

In the link below there is a thread on reseting the Switch 10.

Thank you for your relpy, but the problem was not solved when I tried resetting my computer.

As of now, I have yet to solve the actual driver problem, but I've found out, that if I deactivate the touch screen driver in Device Manager, then the problem is gone. So I suspect it is the driver for the touch screen, there is something wrong with. Is there anyway that I can fix that particular driver?
