Re: Upgrade options for my Acer Predator Helios 300 "PH315-54"
Samsung 990 EVO Plus vs. 970 EVO Plus – Value & Performance Upgrade
✅ Speed Boost: The 990 EVO Plus uses a PCIe Gen4 x4 / Gen5 x2 interface, nearly doubling throughput over the Gen3-based 970 EVO Plus (~7,250 MB/s vs. ~3,500 MB/s).
✅ Smart Architecture: While the 990 is DRAM-less, it utilizes Samsung’s advanced 236-layer V8 NAND, a huge pseudo-SLC cache, and Host Memory Buffer (HMB) to maintain top-tier performance.
✅ Price Advantage: Surprisingly, the 990 EVO Plus is cheaper than the older 970—despite faster speeds and newer tech.
✅ Ideal for Boot Drive: Even without onboard DRAM, the 990 runs cool, fast, and consistently—making it fully suitable as a Windows OS drive for Helios 300 owners.

Re: Predator GM7 2TB SSD not recognized by Windows 11 Installer on Acer SFX16-51G-58RP
The 2TB Predator GM7 M.2 M.2 SSD drive is a Gen 4 x4 lane type drive that is quoted by Acer to perform at a Read speed of 7200MB/s and a Write speed of 6300MB/s, but your SFX16-51G laptop will not reach those speeds as its got an M.2 SSD slots that are both a Gen 3 x4 lane speed slots and their realistic speeds are at benchmark tested with a Gen 3 x4 lane Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 SSD drive (that is the fastest Gen 3 drive) at Read 3500MB/s and Write at 3200MB/s, so expect those speeds even with a Gen 4 x4 lane drive like the Predator GM7 drive. But the Gen 4 x4 Predator GN7 M.2 SSD drive is backward compatible and will work 100% within a Gen 3 x4 lane slots. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

No issues, both slots support 4 x4 Gen4 NVMe SSDs up to 2TB like the Samsung 990 Evo Plus mentioned above.

Re: Type-C ports not working! in Nitro AN14-41 but other USB ports work
No, a hard reset needs for the power key to be pressed for 15 seconds, to release all power out of the laptop, then the main battery to be disconnected and the bios battery to be disconnected also and the mainboard bios battery plug +&- pins shorted to reset CMOS and the laptop left like that for 30 min so all the chips will reset, as that is how you do a proper reset.
