Re: Where to download Nitrosense for Nitro AN517-54 after Windows reinstall?
Also and if this app doesn't install through its normal Setup.exe file you can use another method like below, as the 2nd method should install NitroSense, I know this as I've got the AN515-56 model and that is how I installed this app also. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.
- Download the NS app
- Go into its folder and open the NitroSenseV3.1 folder
- Inside this NitroSenseV3.1 click on the the below folder
As afterwards you will get this installation window below that you can install the NitroSense app and it will install and also work with the NS key on the AN515-57 keyboard..

Re: Is there any firmware for the Acer Predator Connect W6x that enables adjusting the MAC address in PPPoE connections?
Thanks everyone, I bought the Acer because of the integrated Trend Micro, but due to the lack of a MAC address cloning option I'll have to return it.
Re: New here – Looking for tips on using older systems on Acer devices
Hi Maxhunter11,
Running legacy software or emulators (like BlueStacks, LDPlayer, or old game emulators) on Acer laptops is feasible, particularly on popular models like the Acer Aspire 5, by optimizing Windows settings and enabling hardware virtualization. Key performance tips include enabling Intel VT-x in BIOS, managing RAM allocation, and cleaning up background processes.
Tips for Improving Performance on Acer Laptops:-
Enable Virtualization (Crucial): For emulators, restart and tap F2 to enter BIOS. Ensure Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) or AMD-V is enabled. You may need to press Ctrl+S in the BIOS menu to see advanced settings.
Allocate Resources: In your emulator settings, cap the RAM usage to avoid overloading the system. A general rule is setting it to 4GB or 8GB if you have 16GB total.
Manage Background Processes: Close unnecessary programs via Task Manager. Uninstall Acer "bloatware" and disable unnecessary startup apps.
Disable Windows Features: If using third-party emulators, disable Windows Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Platform, and Windows Hypervisor Platform in "Turn Windows features on or off" to stop conflicts.
Optimize Graphics & Display: Set the emulator's internal resolution to and lower the FPS. In Windows, set Power Options to "High Performance".
Update/Reset BIOS: Ensure you have the latest BIOS, chipset, and graphics drivers from the Acer support page.
Common Issues and Avoidance:-
System Slowdown: If performance drops, clear temp files, check for overheating, and ensure the BIOS is updated.
Avoid "Legacy" BIOS Mode: Do not change your firmware to legacy BIOS, as it can make modern Acer laptops (which use UEFI) inoperable. Instead, use tools like Rufus for bootable drives.
RAM Incompatibility: Emulators like LDPlayer can consume heavy resources; optimize them to stop, for example, 100% RAM usage on 8GB systems.

Re: Aspire Go 15 not charging when plugged in.
Troubleshooting Steps
- The "Firm Push" Check: Many newer Acer Aspire models have a barrel-type charging pin that requires a firm push until you feel or hear a "click". If the pin isn't fully seated, the laptop may detect the charger enough to show a light but won't actually draw enough power to charge the battery or run the system.
- Static Discharge (Power Drain):
- Unplug the charger and all USB devices.
- Press and hold the Power Button for a full 60 seconds.
- Plug the charger back in and wait 15 minutes before trying to turn it on.
- Battery Driver Refresh: If the laptop stays on long enough while plugged in:
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand Batteries, right-click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, and select Uninstall device.
- Restart the laptop; Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.
Likely Causes
- Faulty AC Adapter: The blinking orange light often indicates the system detects a charger but it isn't providing the correct voltage or amperage. Since you don't have a spare, check the "brick" part of the charger for any unusual heat, smells, or frayed wires.
- Internal Interlock/Sensing Pin: Some Acer models have a small sensing pin in the charging port or an internal "interlock" button on the motherboard that must be depressed by the casing to allow charging. If this pin is bent or the case is slightly loose, the battery will be bypassed.
- Hardware Failure: If the battery percentage is stuck at 95% but the laptop dies immediately when unplugged, the battery's internal cells or the motherboard's charging rail (the "EC chip") may have failed

Re: Aspire Go 15 not charging when plugged in.
The slowly blinking orange light on your Acer Aspire Go 15 typically indicates that the battery charge is low. Since the laptop shuts off immediately when the charger is unplugged, it means the battery is currently unable to hold or deliver a charge, and your system is running entirely on AC power.
Re: Aspire Go 15 not charging when plugged in.
The symptoms of your six-month-old Acer Aspire Go 15, specifically the 95% battery freeze and immediate shutdown when unplugged, indicate a hardware failure in the battery or the internal charging circuit rather than a simple software glitch. Since the pinhole reset did not work, the most likely cause is a failed battery cell or a locked management system that can no longer hold a charge despite what the Windows percentage shows.
You can try a safe static discharge by unplugging the charger and holding the power button down for a full 60 seconds. Afterward, plug the charger back in and let the laptop sit for 30 minutes before attempting to power it on to clear any stuck power states the pinhole reset might have missed. You should also try a battery driver refresh by opening the device manager and expanding the batteries section.
Right-click to uninstall the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and then restart your laptop to allow Windows to reinstall a fresh driver automatically.Because your laptop is only six months old, it is covered under the Acer 1-year manufacturer warranty. If the static discharge and driver refresh do not fix the issue, you should avoid opening the laptop yourself and instead visit the official Acer support website to initiate a warranty repair claim.

Re: Acer Iconia A16-Is it normal for half the screen to occasionally flash black?
Hello @Mricis,
It is not normal for half the screen of your Acer Iconia A16 to flash black or display persistent visual glitches.
Since you have already tried factory resets and recovery mode without success, the issue is almost certainly hardware related.
Likely Hardware Causes.
Loose Display Flex Cable: The internal cable connecting the motherboard to the screen may be loose or slightly damaged. This often causes intermittent flickering or "blackouts" on specific portions of the screen.
Failing LCD Panel: A glitch that is always the same size and in the same spot typically indicates a physical defect in the LCD's transistors or the panel itself.
Internal Component Wear: Over time, heat or physical stress can cause internal connectors to degrade, leading to unpredictable signal drops.
Final Diagnostics to Confirm.
Since you’ve already ruled out software through a reset, try these final checks:
The "Pressure Test": Gently press around the edges of the tablet. If the flashing changes or stops while you apply pressure, it confirms a loose internal connector.
External Display Test: If your tablet supports video out (via USB-C to HDMI), connect it to a TV or monitor.
If the external screen is clear, your tablet's internal screen or cable is faulty.
If the external screen also glitches, the issue is likely the GPU/motherboard.
Recommended Next Steps.
Because this is a hardware failure, you cannot fix it through settings or software.
Check Warranty Status: If your device is still under warranty, contact Acer Support for a repair or replacement.

Re: NitroSense Missing for Model NHQFHSI001XXX – Unable to Reinstall
Hey RohitRawat1999, this S/N NHQFHSI001XXX is not compete (should be about 22 numbers and letters) so its impossible to give you the correct NitroSense version or to know what your Nitro laptop model is, give us the proper Nitro laptops model number like AN515-5x model that your laptop is? As the NitroSense version given above can't be correct from the S/N that you have given 'as its not complete or correct' as every Nitro model has a different and specific NitroSesnse app version number. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.
