I returned the unit to ACER service centre and they asked for nearly U$200 to repair it. This is just ridiculous. Given so many people got this problem, I suspect this is an inherent problem of ACER's upgrading software.

Is there any way to do a cold reset ?

1. The update file was downloaded from ACER website. 2. The tablet is already out of warranty.

No luck. Cannot wake the tablet up.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I went ahead and installed the update. Unfortunately it ended in disaster. After flashing the zip file. The tablet rebooted and went into a reboot loop. I pressed volume up and power buttons together to stop it and re-do the installation. This time after reboot the tablet gave a black screen…

By the way, on the ACER support web-site. only the upgrade file for the PA-CUS version is provided. Does this mean that the WW-GEN1 is stuck with 4.2.2. ?
