Changing the precision touchpad settings in the BIOS

Can I change the way my precision touchpad works?

Your precision touchpad supports multi-gestures when it is set to Advanced mode in the BIOS. You can change this setting to Basic mode to make your precision touchpad operate more like a standard mouse.

Use the following steps to change your precision touchpad settings:

Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds to turn your computer completely off.
Power your system on and immediately press F2 on your keyboard when the Acer logo appears. Your computer should enter the system BIOS/UEFI.
Use the arrow keys to select the Main menu.
Scroll down to Touchpad and press Enter.
Select Advanced or Basic and press Enter.
Press F10 to Save and Exit.
Press Enter to confirm the changes and reboot the computer.
