I went through this exact issue about a year into owning the same model. The best we (yes, there were several of us posting about this in December of 2017 into early 2018) were able to figure out was there was something faulty with the motherboard. Whenever the laptops were under heavy CPU/GPU usage and producing a lot of…

To disable the startup sound, you have to go into the system's BIOS, by pressing the F2 key as soon as the Predator logo appears onscreen during startup. Once in the BIOS, navigate using the arrow keys to the POST Animation & Soundoption and press enter. Select 'Disabled' and press enter again. Finally, press F10 and…

I have the same model as you and I replaced the HDD with a 5TB hard drive, following the directions/recommendations toward the end of this thread. One week in and it works fine, fit in the bay with the addition of 3mm foam on three sides to make it snug.

Sorry to hear that. Many of us got “lucky” and the failure occurred while still under warranty.

If this is happening only when your laptop is under heavy load, then it is probably an issue that only a motherboard replacement can fix. If the issues in this thread or this one are what you are encountering, no other fix ever worked.

@Taeleous, Again, I have the exact same model as you. I upgraded my bios, per Acer support, to 1.14 last year. Flashing the bios did not add either of those two drivers to my laptop. I cannot believe that, since we both would have gotten the version uploaded in April of last year, yours would include something that mine…

I've got a G9-793 and don't have those. The first is a driver related to Android devices and the second, I believe, is a Microsoft driver related to tablets. I'm guessing you will need to download/reinstall those drivers yourself.

As many folks will say, this forum is mostly a peer-to-peer network and none of us can contact Acer directly on your behalf. Occasionally, @Acer-Manny and others pop in, but that's not a guarantee. I can only suggest you contact the level 2 support person and explain your situation again.

You’ll probably get better results asking in the Predator Desktop forum here. This forum is for laptops.

@DETHx I think most of us end up following @Red-Sand 's videos for undervolting CPUs, GPU's, optimizing Windows, etc. They are known as Hotel Hero on Youtube and this is their channel. Lots of great stuff there. I will add while there are not videos for this specific model, they are a good guide for getting started.…

@DETHx Sorry to have to welcome you to the club. I would encourage you, since you are still under warranty ,to send it in. Since they replaced my motherboard, this issue (unlike @touchnova 's unfortunate experiences) has not returned for me. Now, I'm not saying stick with Acer for future purchases, but at least get them to…

@Maki13 I can very much understand your frustration. See if there is some way to direct them to that thread so they can read the symptoms themselves and view how many users had to deal with it. Suggest they run a stress test. For most of us, all it took was 3-4 minutes running CrystalDiskMark before the sound would begin.…

@Maki13 I know one of those two threads is very long, but if you read through all the comments, you will realize we (I had the problem, too) all reported the same symptoms: strange noise that started up once CPU/GPU was under heavy load after a certain length of time, unplugging and turning fans on to max would temporarily…

Just to add some info/confirmation, I have a G9-793 (purchased new at the end of 2016) and had that teal green issue right out of the gate. I am long since out of warranty to get it (possibly) addressed, but I just wanted to let you know that other models have had this issue, too
-
It certainly appears to be the same problem many of us reported here regarding a different model. Only a motherboard replacement fixed it for many of us. This post has videos, so you can compare it to the sounds your unit is making.

Okay, I've managed to get this working again. Someone else had the identical problem with their G9-593 in this thread and it was a registry entry located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\OEM\PredatorSense on mine that needed Model_Name_1st to be changed from g9-793 to Predator G9-793. That restored the…

I could not right-click on that file and get a "run as admin" option, only an "install" which didn't work (told me to use the setup.exe). I did have the option to right-click and run that as admin, with the same results I've been getting. I appreciate your time. Maybe someone else has some ideas.

I have the same. All I am doing is hitting the setup exe and letting it do its stuff.

@@brummyfan2, Removing those programs made no difference. Sense is still installing like my first image and doing a file search on the C drive shows no Turbo, Normal or Fast .xtu files exist other than the ones in the plug folder of the install zip. I have also been disabling my virus protection each time I tried a…

It's like the Turbo, Fast and Normal .xtu files aren't being created. I do have Throttlestop and MSI afterburner installed (I have had those for months with no issues re: Sense). Could those programs be interfering with Sense installation?
