Check the fans maybe one is stuck or bound up by something
-
Hmm is this while the screen is powered off or is the screen on and just a black background?
-
Got any pics?
-
No it won't damage your GPU/CPU but it may wear your fans out faster. Is there any particular reason you put them on max?
-
What region/country are you in?
-
It only happens after sleep mode? Are your drivers updated to the latest version from Nvidia's website?
-
There is no risk, a lot of gaming laptops actually use the battery while plugged in so you're totally fine don't sweat it.

Hey @brummyfan2 maybe he can help you out with the part number. Is your cooler not spinning?
-
Yea definitely update the BIOS

-
Uninstall your NVIDIA GPU driver, and download and install the latest driver from Nvidia's website
-
I would contact tech support in your region at this point.

SFM_Bryan, go into your NVIDIA control panel and then to "Manage 3d Settings" and under the 'Global Settings' tab there will be a drop down box that says "Preferred Graphics Processor" and put it to Auto-Select. This will let the laptop determine which GPU to use for what task. Also, under 'Manage 3d Settings' you can go…
