Try installing a new or different version of Predator Sense.

Thanks for posting this as I haven't done the update yet but will know what to look for. I too use the Intel XTU to great results undervolting at -.140.

I'm not sure why anyone would ever think more cooling is not "optimal". Leave it on all the time.

IronFly you are the Man!

Yes that is perfect and I am doing the same thing on my Predator. Enjoy and have a nice day.

Well it depends on who you believe...I think this is some kind of an artifact of the i76700q and some other processors out there...There are some out there that say it can be remedied by using more thermal paste ...blah blah...I don't know that might be worth a try but I would not worry about it...I would look at the temp…

Here is a video on how to do the undervolt using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7OdTmylZNQ Here is one on the repasting for your unit. I am undervolted but no repaste yet...temps with a -150 millivolt undervolt rarely goes over about 82c...and thats with demanding games like Battlefield…

I wouldn't worry about it too much...the 0 core will usually be the hottest as it is running all single core applications and manufacturing differences can cause these type of variations. The cores are all on the same die so I doubt it has anything to do with the heatsink seating correctly.

The subwoofer is just wired in to one of the speakers (the left channel I think) and therefore it is not a true 2.1 configuration...it's more like a stereo config with a little boost for the bottom end. So I believe all you will find is a Stereo profile. More like 2 and a half channels.

Sir I am sorry to hear you have had these troubles. I absolutely 100% agree with you that someone who has been through this kind of inconvenience on a new item deserves a new laptop in the box. I hope this works out properly for you and have a nice day if you can.

You're not going to solve an issue like this most of the time on a Forum...My guess it will be addressed in a bios update in the future. If you read the posts on this topic (here and on the interwebs) you will find that many times this is a one-off occurence that may not happen again. Sometimes controlling the symptoms are…

I can't believe people are posting without even reading the workaround in this thread...I mean come on....reset the Battery using the pinhole or just simpler remove the service door by unscrewing the 2 retaining screws. READ THE PRIOR POSTS!

Both of these items are easily installed through the service access panel in the back of the laptop. Easy to do yourself once you get the laptop.

Yes I know exactly what you mean about the gold color paste...I've seen that stuff ship with a lot of cheapo heatsinks for mobos and stuff. Glad to know you were able to straighten it out man.

The Samsung Magician installs the correct driver .

Good feedback and I think some others on here are experiencing similar symptoms so maybe this is a more widespread issue. I am curious did you do a complete repaste on the heatsinks or just tighten them up a little... Acer if I could run the company for one day I would get some decent thermal paste and train my builders on…

I had this same problem...ended up just going to an 850 evo m.2 in Rapid mode. Hope you can get yours going as I am still wondering what the problem was.

Try here and follow the just follow the menus if possible: http://www.geforce.com/drivers Do a manual driver search...I think you have the 1060 right? follow the dialogue and it will take you to a list of like the last 25 versions of the driver. Try the newest and maybe work back a little if you need to. Just the driver.…

Oh darn...Yes it worked for the other gentleman, we were almost on a roll! Man you got a good deal on it might as well enjoy what it can do. I don't know maybe someone else wants to pitch in an idea but if I was you I might do an uninstall on the driver while in safe mode and then manually reinstall the driver. I would…

I lag with just the wireless to a certain extent...I have gotten spoiled with the doubleshot pro...Highly recommend you use that with the dual connections if possible. Makes a very tangible difference in ping and general feel in first person shooters I play. No comparison.
