Hi I have a Acer A01-431-C2Q8 laptop Ive run out of C drive space any ideas to gain or increase?

Hardly anything has been saved on this pc ive run out of space, windows has asked for 5GB of space for an update.Im a bit disappointed with how much space is available on this pc.

1. The major reason why you're running out of space is probably your Windows Update. This is common for all of us so you're not alone. Windows updates takes at least 15GB on a minimum scale despite them telling otherwise. (Update distributes to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution. )
2. Stopping this is virtually impossible as your Windows will eventually update and stopping this is not good practice. Well, you can do few things such as opening run command and type Temp and delete the contents from this folder. This is your temporary files and can free some space. Move your Desktop items to different partitions if you have some. Too many Desktop items can slow your computer down.
3. You can type Storage from the Start menu and change your future storage preferences to a different drive or partition. Click Change where new content is saved.
4. You can use PC optimization softwares to delete hidden items and junk files but I highly recommend these three steps. When you buy a computer, you've been given an option to allocate space for separate partitions, you've to take advantage of that during that time before it's too late. Consider moving huge files to different partitions if not external hard drive.
