Game freeze & sound loop (Helios 300)
Tinkerer
While playing rainbow six siege, the game froze and the sound just kept looping. I cannot do anything except for a restart. This is the first time this happened and I've owned the laptop for only 1 and a half weeks. Any solutions? (also some FPS drops in games too it's like the screen just froze for a second.)
Thanks.

Update BIOS to latest version, if you haven't. Download HWiNFO and post here the maximum and average temperatures of the GPU and CPU. This could have happened because the laptop overheated.Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
-Model number
-Part number(not required, but helpful)
-CPU
-GPU-Operating systemHelios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Overheated as with the game freeze & sound loop or FPS drops? Or both?

The laptop crashed because it could have been overheating. That is why you need to check the temps of the CPU and GPU.Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:

-Part number(not required, but helpful)
-CPU

Thanks for the reply, I'll get back to you tomorrow with the temps. However I did relize that I did not have the turbo boost mode in my predatorSense. How could this be?
