The boot screen disappeared after disassembling the machine to screw the detector thing to the power button after it had been fallen off. The screen produces no light at all. Seems like the screen is dead.

I must've missed or forgot about this one. What 'detector thing to the power button' are you referring to? Jack E/NJ

I am referring to the green board, that detects, when u push the power button. When I pushed the button te machine didn't turn on. This board was loose so I had to screw it back again so that the power button can reach it. After doing that the machine turned on again but the screen was showing no image.

I think that you should open it up again and re-seat all the accessible mainboard connector a few times to make sure they are clean and firmly attached, particularly the LCD screen connector #5 which should be near the power button board. Jack E/NJ

So I am currently re-seating all the connectors and I noticed there is no cable that connects with BT1. I also found that USBCN1 was not correctly seated. This may possibly the reason, why the USB ports on the right side of the device did not or only sometimes worked.
But how do I losen the cable on the LCD1 connector? It just won't come out. I noticed that the other connectors have some sort of lock to prevent the cable from falling out.

There are 30 or more contacts that makes it hard to remove. You don't have to remove it completely. Push one end of the cable connector slightly out with toothpick or suitable sharp tool. Then push the other end out slightly with the tool. Keep doing this in sort of a rocking motion. This may be sufficient to clean the contacts without actually removing it completely. Then push the cable connector all the way back in. Jack E/NJ

    Hello.
I reseated all the connectors aside from the AMIC1 because I couldn't remove it but still the screen won't turn on.

Did you try to turn it on with the FN+F6 toggle key combination? Also, recheck if you can get an external monitor to display a screen with the FN+F5 toggle key combination. Jack E/NJ

I connected it to my external monitor and turned it on. To my surprise both the laptop and the external monitor now showed an image. The Acer bootup screen (still frozen) but when I turned it off again after nothing happening it did not show any image any more whatsoever. Neither on the monitor or the laptop. Using the FN and F5 F6 combinations did not work either.

The BIOS RTC coin cell lithium battery, #4, probably needs to be replaced. They only last about 10 years. Jack E/NJ

That might not be the case, because I replaced it with a new one I bought only a few weeks ago

Remove charger. Disconnect battery pack. Remove new RTC coin cell. Short RTC coin cell terminals on mainboard. Replace coin cell. Reconnect battery pack and charger. Try to turn it on again. Jack E/NJ

Okay I noticed something: The laptop monitor does turn on. But only if I plug a HDMI cable into its HDMI port. The other end of the cable must not even be connected to any other device. As long as there is something in the HDMI port, the laptops screen turns on. But there is still the problem, that it freezes during bootup. I can press F2 to enter the BIOS menu but I never get there.

How can you enter the BIOS menu but not get there???? Either you can enter the BIOS menu or you cannot enter the BIOS menu. Which is it?  Please describe what happens when you start tapping F2 immediately after turning on the laptop, Don't wait for the ACER logo to appear. Jack E/NJ

I could not enter the BIOS menu. When I press F2 to enter the menu, it just says "Entering SETUP" but then nothing else happens. I pressed F2 even before the ACER logo appeared. When I wait at the ACER screen without pressing F2 nothing happens either.

The BIOS is still corrupted. Now that you have the screen working again, go back in this thread to where you tried to flash the BIOS with a pendrive using the FN+ESC method in which the pendrive activity light blinked several times. I think the pendrive had 3 files on it, minidos.sys, phlash.exe and a bios.wph. Try the FN+ESC flash procedure again. Sometimes it takes a couple of attempts before it finally flashes the BIOS.
