Acer Aspire R 15 Model N16P2 music pauses while playing for a couple seconds and then plays on....

Hi.   I am a DJ using this laptop.   I notice (as does everyone else on the dance floor) that after about an hour of playing music the music starts pausing about every 5-10 minutes once for a couple seconds.   I have tried several mp3 players and also played off the built in SD card, on an external drive or even played locally on the sd drive.   Nothing matters.  I also tested with headphones and it seems to never pause at all.   I have checked drivers and system and everything seems ok.   It only seems to happen while playing through my mixer board to my externally powered speakers that is does this.  It is NOT my external equipment as I see winamp (for example) literally pausing during the song.  It is like the laptop is doing some kind of processing of some sort but I have barely anything installed.   I was thinking maybe it was something with the loud music causing the computer to maybe pause (perhaps related to the mic) but that is also turned off.   Anyone come across this problem and any thoughts on how to fix this?   Otherwise I was going to just get a new laptop and move to another brand which is too bad because I really like this laptop.   But I can't have music pausing for 1-2 seconds every other song while DJing.  It's quite embarrassing.
