@Mustanger Tank you for reporting. So it is OK to use 4TB drives.
-
@Blitzface What you did to initialize the drive? Also, double check the connection first.

@AllIwantForXmasIsSSD As a TC-885-UA91 user, I would recommend a name brand 1 or 2 TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD. Mine came with a 500 GB WD SN520. This drive was replaced with another higher performance drive later. To replace the NVMe SSD, see the link:…dans ASPIRE TC-885 series Painful just trying to find a hard drive upgrade Commentaire de ttttt juillet 2023

@aviso66 Yes, upgrade to a 2.5" SATA2 SSD will greatly improve the speed. Should have done it ealier. Upgrade to 4 GB RAM is also needed. Two GB is not enough for modern needs if open more than a few tabs in the bowser.

@AshKal I do not understand what you mean by “not much choice in replacement Cooler”. There are so many choices for LGA 1151 cooler. It is best to get a cooler just for Intel CPUs that will fit LGA 1151. This will only involve unseating the CPU cooler by loosening the four thumb screws without worrying about the backplate.…

@Jur4 Any regular ATX tower will do. However, the biggest problem is the bay for the front panel ports will not fit regular ATX tower. If you can route the front panel ports to the new ATX tower, then everything should be fine.

@xamayax I would suggest to download and run the Intel Diver and Support Assistant from the Intel site. This software will keep you UHD 630 up to date when needed.

@obroad My friend, you just don't copy over to the new drive. You need cloning software or use Windows image backup to do the cloning.
-
@Aleenmax Have you tried the 480GB WD Green with another PC? Also, how did you clone the 128 GB drive to the 480 GB? Either the cloning process is not right or the WD Green drive is defective. Your Veriton X2640G should have PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, and I think almost all PCIe 3.0 x16 slot will support booting. If you are not…

Yes, that is the way it should work.

@shin_ultraman PC/Laptops nowadays usually have at least one USB port still alive after power off. That is for the purpose of charging cellphones after power off as long as the PC stays plugged in. This is normal.

@Janell If the powerbank has the proper sized power connector, won't hurt to try it. The worst case is the nitro5 won't charged to 100%.
-
@morgan08yo If your downloaded Win 10 USB flash drive is bootable, you can keep tapping the F12 ( or Fn + F12) key about 3 times a second while still in black screen while bootup to reach the boot menu. Choose to boot from the USB flash drive instead of the Windows Boot Manager. Tell us more about the partition error…

@SpiralDragon I'll suggest searching Youtube videos for your GX781 there. If you still find yourself uncomfortable replacing the NVMe SSD with a higher capacity one ( actually you may need an USB external NVMe SSD adapter and cloning software too) and if you are after data space only, you can just buy an external USB HDD…

@JohnG0814 The area above the NVMe SSD is not the designed area for additional SATA3 SSD, but you can fit one in using masking tape or Gorilla tape to hold it in place. The designated HDD/SSD tray is the big piece of metal with the 4 orange color screw holes (actually vibration absorber). At the back side of this metal HDD…

@music23 I believe your problem is not TAPPING the F2 or Delete key while the PC is still having a black screen when botting up. You may need to keep tapping the F2 or Delete key about three times a second to reach BIOS.

@JohnG0814 Nowadays some motherboard makers just use one sided clip for DIMM slots, and that functioned just as good as using clips on both ends. I have viewed a motherboard picture of the TC-1760 and it happened to be the one clip type. Don't worry about it, just press down the one clip when removing the DIMM.

@Kelleigh Since you mentioned you are on a tight budget and the PC was in IMMACULATE condition, I suggest unseat and reseat the CPU fan connector to the motherboard a few times and clean it. Hope it is only a loose connector that caused the problem.dans -Hello, AXC -780-UR15. Just picked up Used. CPU fan Not operating. Commentaire de ttttt septembre 2022

@CCC2022 You can disable Wi-Fi in the Device Manager and choose "Disable This Device". If you are using Ethernet with an active wire plugged to the RJ45 port, the Wi-Fi will relinquish itself to Ehternet and should not be bothering at all.

@DANJ4 Yes, the WD Blue SN 570 should be fine for increasing capacity. You may want to get an external 2.5" NVMe SSD adpater and use cloning software to clone the existing 128 G SSD to the new 1 TB drive. If you have not added a NVMe SSD heatsink to the NVMe SSD, take this chance to add one to cool down the drive…
