any beeps or flashing lights on it?

As in the bit in the charger? i wouldnt recommend wrapping it as it it could lead to a fire For USB-C the anker nano 2 65 watt isnt a bad shout, cheap but should work. Think it can do up to 100w but the price of 100w usbc's go up quite a bit

Its not possible to replace just the Gfx card in laptops im afraid, it would be the whole mainboard most likely that would need replacing. Do you know if its still in warranty? Else it may be more cost effwctive to buy a new laptop :(

Due to the chance of the lappy becoming unresponsive I think. In older gens there was quite a bit of headway with the voltage, bit in newer the thresholded is quite a bit lower, and there was a bug where the laptops would just refuse to boot and require RMA if the voltage went too low.
-
Do you have the full model :)? Just in case one of the SKU's has a different ram layout The lappy supports up to 3200MT/s memory so any at 1.2v 3200 should work . It doesnt support 9ver clocking though so it would need to be native 3200
-
Nah all laptops will support it :) , when you plug the adapter in, does it appear under device manager. If you have device manager open when you plug in the adapter you should see it refresh and appear It could need a driver to work but that would be odd for a usb adapter, do you have a link to it?

Does it flash on and off in 8 second bursts or does it change to blinking faster? Wonder if that's an error code
-
Aye I think if windows is installed when it's off it's not possible to turn on, a reinstall is neededdans Why I cannot change state of Secure Boot? in Acer AN515-56 Commentaire de Leostat septembre 2023
-
I think the only way is buying a recovery drive from acer but it's not really needed! Most the drivers are available online from the support site , and windows keeps a recovery partition built in even if you have wiped it :)
-
What type of dock is it :). My guess is it is a dp alt mode dock which would require the laptop to support that. I think the N20C1 doens't have that feature

Chexk the Nvidia driver version before and after reboot, windows 11 is currently sending out bawked drivers on both AMD and Nvidia , keeps on Rolling mine back as well!

Is there anything in the event log at the time of the disconnects? And what's the Signal strength like? It could be a few things so let's tick off some of the easy ones
-
Can you get to any form of booted environment or is it stuck before that? Could try to boot an Ubuntu iso see if it's the motherboard which has gone, or windows just complaining
-
Usually the motherboards are custom, what sort of details are you looking for? What's the model number of the pc
-
in the installer, if you select the custom option does it let you set up the partitioning yourself?
-
Whats the full model number :)?
-
does it fully disconnect, or does it stay connected but lose internet? Whats the laptop :)?

Hallo, @dbjdodnsidlen , update, the reason the nano wasn't working was the cable wasn't playing. It hadn't occurred to me as I'd tried with a random amazon c to c and a thunderbolt, but thought eh may as well give another a go, and with an Anker 'pd' 100 w cable the nitro 5 accepts charge! So the Helios should be the same…
-
Problem solved, the USBC cables by Amazon do not support PD Swapping to an Anker cable and charging works just fine, wish I had the know how to figure out exactly what is different between the cables , even a thunderbolt cable didn't work but the Anker cable did

That the G or non G you want :)?
