Yes, you should.

I did not really need to mess with BIOS except for boot order. It is SATA mode. NVMe is not SATA.
-
@sba923 weird you cannot install it. Well, this laptop I use heavily for business reasons too, so I could not afford any kind of data loss and I want to keep it pristine in case anything happens. If you take the image and then remove it, whatever goes wrong, you just replace it and you still have a fully functioning…

Maybe too late to answer, but my stock drivers were having problems with G-Sync, generic Nvidia drivers solved them perfectly.

I did the same upgrade to my G9-593 which has the same mainboard. 1. I installed Samsung NVME SSD drivers to my system without installing Samsung SSD. (If you don't do it you cannot boot it.) 2. I created an image of Liteon to an external driver using Acronis (I used the bootable image of Acronis to prevent any problems)…

Why do you want Acer to update the website with every single version of drivers released when all of the devices are compatible with generic drivers released?
-
Be careful with keys + it won't support anything other than SATA. I have G9-593 and have the same slots. Mine was without bracket, but I made my own bracket to install a second one with 2280 form factor.

Do you have the same behavior when you try it after unplugging any kind of cable and disconnecting from networks?
-
I have made some experiments with the cable that you are unplugging. The cable is responsible for both left and right speakers. The sound that you are hearing is coming from subwoofer which also produces high frequencies up until 2000Hz or something. How do I know that? As I was also having the same problem, I decided to…

It's TV. Check if there is a FAST or GAME mode in TV.

Well, guys, it's back.

They are working fine.

I have an SSD in the bay.

@Rares95 well not in my case. I think it adds up if the computer is turned on. I did not change the way I use the computer when I'm active. The noise was coming during the first competitive CS:GO when I started this topic. These days I play for hours nonstop yet I don't have any kind of problems. I've never heard the weird…

Update For anyone having the same problem, mine is kind of resolved by letting computer rest. By rest, I mean letting it sleep or hibernate or shutdown when not in use. Normally, I like to keep my computers turned on all the time and my session times are generally above a month (Windows 10 is really stable, most of the…

It looks like graphics memory is defective, better RMA it ASAP.

I think it is a AC1535 unit which sucks in most cases. I am thinking of replacing it with an Intel unit soon. I had the same issues with you for a few months after I bought my G9, and the driver that I am using right now is the one in the link below. Newer versions are problematic too. The problems I had were: * Not being…

This is incorrect. AFAIK none of G9 series use Intel Integrated Graphics (see photo below for a G9 device manager screenshot). They simply bypass it and use NVIDIA directly. For most other laptops in the market, though, Intel's integrated graphics are there to make users' life miserable in driver compatibility hell while…

How much did it cost you?

I think you are having a similar version to the issue that I am having with my G9. @Scorpio2 had a similar problem too. Mine is out of warranty but Scorpio2 is going to send his laptop for service and we will be able to know what may be the cause of the noise. Check these topics:…
