I had the same symtoms 2 months ago. Computer was repaired under warranty: mother board changed. If you can, backup your SSD and HD with a disk backup utility, Easeus, Aomei, Macrium ... before giving it to customer service.

To upgrade to w10 pro, the only requirement is to have an activation key and use it on the My Computer->Properties panel.

1803 installed w/o problem on my Predator 300. I tried to dl and install KB4100403 ... it failed.

No blue screen here. You may need to update some drivers.

Launch the Windows 10 mixed reality portal and run the compatibility test. Your NVidia driver may need to be updated.
