I finally got the update, but it's still an old Android 7 version for such a new tablet... It should be at least 7.1.2 Hoping we get Oreo 8.1 soon though 

This is not an Android/Google problem, it's an Acer problem, they are responsible of building and distributing the firmware of their devices from the sources Google provide. Either there isn't really an update available, or as other suggested, the Acer Update Server is not working properly at this time. I will wait this…

I have the same issue, it won't download the update, gives error 0011
