The problem sounds like the electricity is not teaveling through your power brick therefore not charging your laptop. I suggest you get a new power brick if you don't want to experience this issue.

It could be either something is not going good inside the computer or your outlet is not suppling enough power. Try to factory reset it first and see if the problem consists. If it continues try to see if the outlet is not supplying enough power. If that doesn't work maybe get a new one.

Maybe buying a mouse would be better because it more accurate and easier to use, all you need to do is plug it in and you're ready to go. Also it's very easy to carry around. But if you don't want to buy a mouse I could do some researching for you.

You can try to get them replaced by someone. Go to a electronic store to get it fixed. Or you can try to pull it up possibly to try to losen it. It could be the cause from you pussing on it too hard, but REMEMBER don't pull out the key or you might not be able to get it back in. Just lightly pull on it.

Hold down the power button until it shuts down. If that doesn't work it might be something wrong with the laptop so bring it to a computer shop and get it fixed.
