Because they are from 2 years ago... hence why I'm looking for an updated version. Pretty much have lost all faith in Acer to release up to date drivers... This will seriously impact my decision to purchase another one of their products in the coming months.

hah, intel's 8th gen i7 will overheat that thing in 15 seconds, and in the end be slower then a 7 gen. I'm not interested in intel processors..

Maybe so, but there are no issues to speak of at this time. Graphics performance is better and more stable with the up to date drivers. While Acers system hardware designs certainly aren't generic, the AMD drivers are specifically for the AMD APU, and work fine.

It doesnt seem logical to me that reinstalling an OS will solve this issue... the laptop should still charge when it is Off.
