Internet slowed down badly when Helios connected

I have a 5mbps internet speed (From multiple test sites.) It is fine watching 1080p video normally. When I connect my laptop, an acer Helios 300, to it, it is slowed to a crawl. I can't sign into league of legends, or sign into any game on another device. 

I tested something.

I turned off the wifi on my computer and just like that, the internet is usable. I payed $1,200 for this laptop though, and I want to use it. Anyone have a solution? 

Also, there is a chance it may affect other networks as well, but I'm not sure. I scanned the computer with malwarebytes and it was clean.

Also, it didn't always do this.

It might be because your laptop is trying to download windows updates and stuff, taking almost all of the bandwidth available just for that.
I think this problem will not occur after a few days or weeks. But if it still does, contact Acer and your ISP to figure out the solution.
