I have owned my Predator for around 3 months and gotta say love it hugely. however.......recently when i have been playing a game the laptop will reset and come up with a "No Bootable Drive" error and an image of a HDD. this so far has happened three tiimes in as many weeks. i have tried to update the intel storage drivers as i thought this may be the case but it is still happeneing. Secondly also recently my GPU has had some trouble, when im playing games that are graphics heavy such as GTA or Assassins Creed i get horizontal lines that flash quickly and randomly across the screen then just stop randomly. Yesterday this started to occur whilst playing solitaire on the desktop too. im trying to avoid formatting the drives as GTA alone was 70GB. any ideas?

You can try reseting the battery. Disconnect the laptop from mains, turn it off and follow the instructions shown here.
If the issue still persists, you can update the BIOS. To check current BIOS version, open 'RUN' and type msinfo32. The BIOS version will be displayed in system summary. You can download the BIOS from here, but before that you need to find your laptop in the list or simply enter your SNID number on the web page. You need to download the latest version only. Before executing the installation, make sure the battery is fully charged and laptop connected to charger, During the installation the device may restart several times, don't attempt to turn it off.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
-Model number
-Part number(not required, but helpful)
-CPU
-GPU-Operating systemHelios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

If the update and you current BIOS are the same, there is no point installing it and the system won't let you install it.
